dck provided building solutions for this client during the construction of a third parking garage between two others at HNL Airport. We were selected based on our improved design that decreased the building footprint but increased the number of stalls by 600 stalls with the addition of more floors. It provided greater efficiency and also gave the State an option for future parking expansion. The eight-level, 580,000 SF parking structure accommodates 1,700 vehicles plus another 100 stalls on an adjacent surface lot. Designed entirely of precast concrete with cast-in-place shear walls, the architectural character compliments the existing airport details by interpreting them in new ways with glazing systems and concrete form patterns.
