University of Cincinnati
Do you like soaring glass atriums and breathtaking glass walkways? Those were just some of the highlights of this project. We added 240,000 GSF of labs and educational space to the academic health center project, including rehabilitation of the existing Medical Services Building (MSB), construction of the new Center for Academic Research Excellence (CARE) addition, and the building entry and landscaping of the Eden Quad. Renovation on the eight-story MSB occurred while the building remained fully occupied and included architectural rework, upgrading of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and data systems. The CARE structure included a large eight-story glass atrium with several steel and glass floored walkways that cut through the open space to connect back to the MSB on the upper floors—and it achieved achieved LEED Gold Certification.
Offeror provided excellent safety program and incorporated the owner’s safety issues into the project safety program. Offeror did a great job on a complex lab building….
