U. S. Naval Hospital Compound, Guam
Our defense work is a real salute to our design-build capabilities. For example, this 477-student high school project involved the construction of a multiple wings with classrooms, multimedia/computer lab areas, support, multipurpose and administration areas. Also included were music and art studios, JROTC program area, gymnasium and associated physical education spaces, two parking areas, a separate bus drop-off drive, and a football/soccer field with running track and spectator bleachers. The 850-student elementary/middle school also involved multiple wings, with its own gymnasium, music and art classrooms and computer labs. dck received an outstanding performance evaluation from NAVFAC Marianas.
The contractor's assistant SSHO was particularly on top of safety on the project. He willingly worked with the government personnel to identify unsafe situations as well as their solutions. The contractor's safety team proactively invited the Navy EO out for a safety briefing after uncovering UXO during excavation. Additionally they invited the Navy base fire department out to give a fire safety briefing. All of the above demonstrate the contractor's outstanding safety program.
