Naval Facilities Engineering Command
This project was part of the design-build Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for construction, renovation, alteration, and repair projects for administrative facilities predominantly in Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command. It included the design and construction of a single-story reinforced concrete masonry unit building on a reinforced concrete foundation with structural steel framing, brick veneer, steel truss, and standing seam metal roof. The facility manages all of the military’s computer network traffic throughout the region, including remote operations and monitoring of servers and server farms, routers, networks, along with prevention, detection, and rapid response to attempts to penetrate network security. Sustainable design principles were included in the design and development of the building.
