MARKET > Industrial NAME: AES Granite Ridge Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant LOCATION: Londonderry, NH OWNER: AES Londonderry, LLC and AES Endeavor, Inc. As part of a consortium team, had full design, construction, and all equipment installation responsibilities on this project, along with purchase of all plant equipment. This new facility, located on a 47-acre site, consists of two power trains with combustion turbine, power generator, and heat recovery steam generator, along with one steam turbine and generator. We also provided excavation on the site prior to construction, which included the removal of 180,000 cubic yards of earth.

MARKET > Industrial NAME: Blythe Energy Plant LOCATION: Blythe, CA OWNER: Blythe Energy, LLC General contractor on the 520 megawatt natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant, which is a critical component in the long-term solution to the California energy crisis. The main power facility occupies 12-acres of land on a larger 76-acre parcel of property. The facility is comprised of two advanced technology combustion turbines, one steam turbine, and supporting equipment and burns natural gas only to generate electricity –a combination of electrical energy produced from gas turbines with electrical energy produced from steam turbines. The major equipment in this plant includes: Gas turbine generator sets and auxiliaries; Steam turbine generator sets and auxiliaries; Triple pressure heat recovery steam generators and exhaust stacks; Auxiliary and ancillary equipment including cooling towers, administration and support buildings, water systems, fire systems, and related support equipment

MARKET > Industrial NAME: FENA Water Treatment Plant Upgrade LOCATION: Santa Rita, Guam OWNER: Department of the Navy NAVFAC Marianas General contractor for major water treatment process improvements, modernization of process control instrumentation, and new construction of support facilities. Scope involved construction of: plant inlet valving and metering facilities with rapid mix tank; ballasted floc clarification system, modifications of filter control and monitoring system; ultraviolet disinfection system including building and modification of sludge and supernatant pumping systems. filter backwash settling tank and sludge dewatering system, including wash water sludge and filtrate pump; emergency generator facilities and modification and improvements to electrical distribution system including buildings and aboveground fuel tank; and modifications and additions to chemical storage and feed facilities. This project received the Contractor of the Year Award from the Guam General Contractor’s Association.

GalvPro L.P. 60” Galvanizing Line mouse over photos to view

MARKET > Industrial NAME: GalvPro L.P. 60” Galvanizing Line LOCATION: Jeffersonville, IN OWNER: GalvPro, L.P. EPC contractor for this steel treatment facility that can process 370,000 tons of strip steel annually. This 200,000 sf plant, located on a 26.5 acre site, treats steel coils ranging in widths from 24 to 60 inches. After reaching substantial completion of the new GALVPRO facility one week ahead of schedule, the next six months were spent participating in performance testing. The facility includes three, 35-ton overhead cranes located in the storage bay; one 15-ton overhead crane used for furnace maintenance; and one 10-ton overhead crane used for the zinc pot. We also installed a 6,800 cy concrete floor slab, 1,600 cy of concrete equipment foundations, and a 10,400 sf office/locker building.
