MARKET > Retail NAME: Ala Moana Shopping Center, Phase V LOCATION: Honolulu, HI OWNER: General Growth General contractor for the third-level structural steel expansion to the shopping center adding more than 130,000 sf of lease space to the existing space of 1.5 million sf. Minimization of disruption to the tenants and shoppers were the main focus of this project. An overhead projection system at the mall concourse was constructed to protect shoppers from debris, weather, and noise. Day and night shift work was done to mitigate disturbance.

MARKET > Retail NAME: Duty Free Shops Galleria Renovation LOCATION: Tumon Bay, Guam OWNER: Duty Free Shops General contractor for the phased renovation of 5 Stages/Areas at the Tumon Bay Galleria retail complex. Work included total gut-out of existing trading areas and construction of walkways, new internal walls and partitions, wall finishes, floor finishes, domed ceilings, light fixtures, and mechanical work.

MARKET > Retail NAME: Neiman Marcus LOCATION: Honolulu, HI OWNER: Neiman Marcus General contractor for the construction of the concrete foundation and three-story structural steel building (160,000 sf) with exterior EFS system, monier tile roof, and high--end interior finishes. The interior’s sophisticated finishes include marble flooring from Indonesia, custom wall coverings, over 15 types of wood finishes, and specially woven carpeting. The exterior design melds contemporary Hawaii design with clay tile roof elements, textured exterior finishes, and stepped landscaped terraces. We also represented Neiman Marcus in the coordination of all FF&E materials.

MARKET > Retail NAME: Target Hawaii LOCATION: Kapolei, Oahu, HI & Kona, HI OWNER: Target Corporation Construction of the 168,000 sf Target Kapolei, located in West Oahu, includes a single-level, concrete tilt-up structure, a glass storefront with an open web joist, and a sloped flat roof. The non-public area includes a stockroom, storage spaces, offices, walk-in freezer and refrigerator, and a loading dock for delivery and receiving of goods. The Target Kona store on the Big Island of Hawaii is a similar structure comprised of 162,000 sf.
