Served as general contractor for one of Kapolei's largest commercial buildings. With a total of 248,000 sf on four floors, the structural steel building also includes two levels of underground parking to accommodate over 600 cars. Sitting on a one-acre property with a landscaped courtyard, the facility includes Hawaiian style architecture with a plaster and limestone facade, slate flooring, and green clay tile roofs. In addition, this is an "intelligent" building with completely integrated and state-of-the-art computer, environmental control, and energy conservation systems.

OWNER: First Hawaiian Bank
General contractor for the construction of a 27-story structural steel tower with four-story podium (520,000 sf) and five levels of underground parking for over 730 cars. At 430-ft high, this is the tallest building in downtown Honolulu. Highlights include:
• More than 16,000 cubic yards of concrete were placed 55 ft below street level to form the mat foundation.
• A Seiko Soil Mix Wall System (perimeter cutoff wall system) was used in the basement excavation.
• A total of 13 elevators were installed, including four exterior elevators that travel 1000 ft per minute.
• The building exterior has a unique "prow" feature and is clad with 16 types of wall systems of glass and stone.
• Marble, granite, limestone, and slate from five countries (France, England, Brazil, Italy, and the U.S.) were installed in this building.

Design-builder of this 85,000 sf, three-story building composed of cast stone, brick, and curtainwall. The facility features a three-story atrium and a barrel roof at the center of the building surrounded by an open floor plan for the upper floors.
The building was constructed in accordance with U.S. Green Building Council LEED guidelines. It includes various sustainable design features, such as:
• development of a brownfield site
• stormwater management based on EPA Best Mgt. standards
• water-efficient landscaping
• optimized energy performance design systems
• environmental control of materials and resources
• innovative design technologies
