Air Freight Terminal Complex

Project description
  • Client NAVFAC Marianas
  • Services Provided general Construction
  • Location Anderson Air Force Base, Guam
This terminal construction project involved the building of a 32,640-square-foot single-story building, another 13,720-square-foot building, fire protection and other systems, parking, landscaping, truck loading area, more than 7,000-square-feet of alterations to an existing building, and the demolition of another building to make way for the new terminal. One of the project’s most complex aspects was the MEC/UXO—or munitions, explosives of concern/unexploded ordnance-work that was necessary on the site. dck-ecc (our joint venture team with ECC) partnered with NAVFAC Marianas to create a more efficient process of uncovering and disposing of the anomalies. This project was a task order under our previously awarded DB MACC (design-build multiple award construction contract.) Learn more about our Aviation Solutions and other airport projects.
