Construction of the new Navy Family Housing and Fitness Center Renovations represents the largest project that dck worldwide has executed at Guantanamo Bay.  This Cuba construction project’s 1,200-panel solar farm—the first of its scale on the island—is approximately the size of a football field.  The power is distributed to the Fitness Center (via overhead power lines and embedded conduit), thus reducing the amount of power produced by the diesel generators.  The system includes, two 300 kVA step-up transformers, NEMA inverters, interconnection wiring, regulators, disconnects, protection to all phases, and related equipment. The contract also included grounding for the PC system and perimeter fencing along with installation of six 250 W HPS luminaries around the perimeter fence.
