The purpose of this Maryland construction project is to provide transient housing for military personnel being treated at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center whose severe injuries require an extended recovery/transition period (3-6 months on average) before they can be returned to their unit or released to civilian life.  dck worldwide, working in a joint venture with Tetra Tech EC, built this seven-story lodge and 470-stall parking structure. The lodge includes 163 studios/suites, offices, recreation areas, kitchenettes, community and rehabilitation areas, and mechanical and equipment spaces.
