Three Caribbean Charities Selected as Recipients of dck worldwide’s “Building a Better Community” Award

My Brother’s Workshop, Youth Empowerment Project, and Big on Learning Chosen to Receive Donations

dck worldwide announced today the winners of its “Building a Better Community” award. Designed to recognize a civic group or charitable organization that has played a significant role in changing lives in the Caribbean, dck worldwide will make donations to My Brother’s Workshop in the US Virgin Islands, Youth Empowerment Project in the British Virgin Islands, and Big on Learning in the West Indies.

dck worldwide launched its Building a Better Community award program by soliciting nominations through social and traditional media channels on the islands. The company received submissions from numerous organizations and according to Stephen D’Angelo, dck worldwide’s CEO and President, all were very deserving.

“It was a difficult decision for our selection committee, as there quite a number of worthy charities that are making significant contributions to communities throughout the Caribbean.”

Mr. D’Angelo went on to say the company’s employees in its office locations and construction project sites get involved in supporting the communities where they work and play. As the general contractor for over 80 major construction projects in the Caribbean, dck worldwide looked to recognize an organization that shared in its vison of improving neighborhoods and peoples’ lives in the region.
